South Korea issues import inspection instructions for frozen seafood processed products

On March 21st, the South Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued inspection instructions for the import of frozen seafood processed products.

Inspection time: 2024 3.27.~ 4.23

Check products: frozen foods that are not heated and can be consumed directly in other aquatic processed products (frozen foods that do not require additional heating and can be consumed directly).

Inspection items: total number of colonies, Escherichia coli or group of Escherichia coli, pathogenic bacteria (Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, gold)

Staphylococcus aureus, animal drugs (AOZ (furazolidone), chloramphenicol, ofloxacin), among which animal drugs are limited to containing 90% or more of animal aquatic product raw materials

Products on. After the implementation of this regulation, imported products will be strictly inspected in accordance with relevant inspection and quarantine procedures and policies. Therefore, in order to avoid export discoveries, relevant enterprises are required to strictly follow the laws and regulations of the importing country for production, processing, packaging, and distribution. Samples will be confirmed with importers in strict accordance with local requirements, and production will be carried out strictly according to the confirmed samples to avoid the risk of goods being returned
