On March 21st, the South Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued Announcement No. 2024-139, proposing to amend the relevant laws on the labeling and advertising of food and other related products

The main content of the Implementation Rules is as follows: to formulate matters related to drug related and similar labeling, as well as to change the labeling and promotion of the use of drugs and other terms

The cost support process and other matters during the announcement. The deadline for soliciting the above opinions is April 30, 2024. After the implementation of this regulation, imported products will be strictly inspected in accordance with relevant inspection and quarantine procedures and policies. Therefore, in order to avoid export discoveries, relevant enterprises are required to strictly follow the laws and regulations of the importing country for production, processing, packaging, and distribution. Samples will be confirmed with importers in strict accordance with local requirements, and production will be carried out strictly according to the confirmed samples to avoid the risk of goods being returned
