South Korea releases inspection results for meat and ready to eat meat processors and their products

On March 13th, the South Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) announced that after inspecting 883 companies, 21 companies were found to have violated regulations

The Livestock Product Hygiene Management Law and other laws require local governments to take administrative penalty measures.

The main violations are: ▲ Failure to obtain permission to change business facilities (4 companies) ▲ Failure to undergo physical examinations (4 companies) ▲ Violation of self inspection regulations (4 companies)

▲ Violation of operator compliance (4 companies) ▲ Failure to complete hygiene training (2 companies). The local government plans to impose administrative penalties within 6 months

Recheck whether the above-mentioned non compliant enterprises have improved.

In addition, a total of 932 products produced by the inspection company and processed meat products distributed in South Korea were collected and tested for pathogenic bacteria. So far, they have been tested
