(2) Revise relevant regulations to specify under what circumstances the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) will refuse to issue pre approval certificates required for the legal import of frozen cod;
(3) Under what circumstances will USDA refuse to issue export or export documents required for legal re export or export of frozen and fresh cod;
(4) Clarify that applicable authorization must be obtained before re exporting or exporting; And lift the import ban on American cod varieties harvested from statistical regions 51 and 57 of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. NMFS also conducts other non substantive technical and procedural updates.

This revision shall take effect 30 days from the date of publication in the Federal Register. After the implementation of this regulation, imported products will be strictly inspected in accordance with relevant inspection and quarantine procedures and policies.
