EU approves magnesium hydroxide E528 as an alkaline substance

According to the official gazette of the European Union, on March 13, 2024, the European Commission issued Regulation No. 2024/836 approving magnesium hydroxide E528 as an alkaline substance. This regulation shall come into effect 20 days from the date of its promulgation, and relevant implementation rules shall also be announced accordingly. Inspection, quarantine and supervision shall be strictly carried out in accordance with relevant procedures. Violators shall be severely punished in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
